Add an MPH to Your Law Degree
In our world today, health and environmental issues with legal implications abound. With health care reform underway, opportunities for lawyers with training in health fields are likely to increase in the current economy. Having a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in addition to the law degree makes sense.
The UMDNJ-School of Public Health encourages graduates of accredited law schools to apply for acceptance into the Master of Public Health degree program. GREs are not required for applicants.* Depending upon the concentration, accepted students into the Master of Public Health program may receive up to 12 course credits toward the degree for work already completed in their JD program. The MPH degree is a 45 credit degree program.
Applications are being accepted now for fall 2009. Part-time and evening classes are available with the option for 15 online credits. Campuses are located in Newark, Piscataway and Stratford. Check out our website, and, if you have questions, call the following campus numbers for additional information.
Piscataway - (732) 235-4646
Stratford - (856) 566-2790
* GREs may be required for applicants wishing to concentrate in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or Health Education.
