		<p>Current SPH MPH student Dr. William Short, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, is featured in the Philly Metro online news in an article by Rachel Vigoda entitled &quot;Fighting the HIV Epidemic.&quot;<br /><br />Dr. Short began his MPH studies (Health Systems and Policy concentration) on the UMDNJ-School of Public Health (SPH) Stratford/Camden Campus in fall 2007.  In the summer of 2008, Dr. Short joined SPH's Drs. Grau and West and other SPH students on the SPH annual international trip to the Dominican Republic, where he worked with the children and families in the bateyes, which are extremely impoverished communities of sugar cane plantation workers.<br /><br />Dr. Short is a May 2009 candidate for graduation.<br /><a href="http://www.philly.metro.us/us/article/2009/04/06/23/5416-85/index.xml"><br />Click here to link to &quot;Fighting the HIV Epidemic.&quot;</a></p>
