Degree Detail
BS/MPH Articulated Programs |
|
Application for this degree program is available through the campus office. An articulated BS/MPH Degree Program exists between the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and the UMDNJ-School of Public Health (SPH), Piscataway/New Brunswick Campus. In their junior year of their undergraduate degree program, highly qualified college students who meet graduate standards and who are interested in an articulated degree would be allowed to take up to 15 graduate credits that will apply for both degrees. Specifically, undergraduate students will be allowed to register for the five core courses required for the MPH Degree Program and to substitute the graduate courses for cognate undergraduate courses. At the discretion of the undergraduate chair, graduate coursework may be substituted for up to 6 credits of the undergraduate field practicum. In no case will more than 15 graduate credits be allowed to count towards both degrees. Also, an articulated BS/MPH Degree Program exists between The Department of Community Health, College of Science and Health of William Paterson University (WPUNJ) and the UMDNJ-School of Public Health, which enables students at WPUNJ to begin graduate studies at UMDNJ-SPH while completing their undergraduate degree in the community health program. Students will be permitted to register for up to four (4) courses (or 12 credits) offered at UMDNJ-SPH. Three of these courses (or 9 credits) will be accepted as partial fulfillment of their undergraduate degree requirements at WPUNJ. |
