MPH/MSPA Dual Degree Program

Application for this degree program is available through the campus office.

The UMDNJ - School of Health Related Professionsメ Physician Assistant program, in conjunction with the UMDNJ - School of Public Health, Piscataway/New Brunswick Campus, offers a program leading to a dual degree of Master in Public Health (MPH) and Master of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA). The program allows physician assistant students to complete both their graduate MPH and MSPA degrees in four years. Application to this program is limited to students who have already been accepted into the physician assistant program and have taken the GRE and who are accepted into the MPH program by one of its participating departments. Students admitted to this dual degree track would take both Physician Assistant courses and MPH courses during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters of the programメs first two years on a full-time basis. Students may begin this program in the summer, prior to beginning the Physician Assistant program, or in the first Fall semester. During the third and fourth years of the program, students will be attending the Physician Assistant program full-time and will complete the fieldwork requirement for the MPH.*

* The UMDNJ - School of Public Health grants six (6) transfer credits as electives for all dual degree students from professional schools (Allopathic and Osteopathic Medicine, MS Nursing, Physician Assistants and Dentistry) for biological basis of health and health promotion content in their professional curriculum. See transfer credits for details.
