MSN/MPH Dual Degree Program

Application for this degree program is available through the campus office.

The UMDNJ - School of Nursing and the UMDNJ - School of Public Health offer a dual degree option. The option offered is a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) dual degree on both the Newark and Piscataway/New Brunswick Campuses. Students admitted to the dual degree option will be awarded both the MSN and MPH degrees upon successful completion of all coursework. Students will be simultaneously admitted to both programs. All students will be jointly advised by nursing and public health faculty to develop a curriculum plan that will enable successful completion of the total degree requirements on either a part-time or full-time basis. Curriculum plans will be developed with students as partners in the process - taking into account past education, experience and goals.*

* The UMDNJ - School of Public Health grants six (6) transfer credits as electives for all dual degree students from professional schools (Allopathic and Osteopathic Medicine, MS Nursing, Physician Assistants and Dentistry) for biological basis of health and health promotion content in their professional curriculum. See transfer credits for details.
