School of Public Health Certificates
Options for Students Currently or Previously Enrolled in the MPH or MS Degree Program at UMDNJ-SPH
- Students may only participate in one certificate or degree program at a time (e.g., a student cannot be enrolled in the MPH program and a certificate program).
- Students who leave the MPH degree program prior to completion may apply for admission to a certificate program within two years of separation, and may apply previously earned applicable credits of grade "B" or better to the certificate. Please contact the respective Certificate Program Coordinator for details.
- Students who leave the MPH degree program or who graduate from that program and pursue a certificate will need to complete the appropriate application and submit the required fee.
- Credits may be transferred from the MPH degree program to a certificate program if earned within the past five years and are deemed appropriate by the respective Certificate Program Coordinator. A maximum of three (3) credits applied to a School of Public Health degree can be applied to a subsequent certificate.
- Students pursuing more than one certificate program must complete a new application for each certificate program and submit the appropriate fee. To apply for any additional certificate program, the student will have to apply a new set of credits to that certificate program.
